Celebrating Easter With A Festive Meal
Easter is shinning at the horizon. We are all so excited for the coming celebration. What should I cook for Easter this year? Ah, the annual question we all halt to ask ourselves.
Wonder no more! I have compiled 5 festive menus for you to chose from. Many of these dishes have the recipe available. So, whether you are planning for a Family Lunch or a larger invitation, you may opt for the complete menu, lessen it, or combine two, depending of the size of your celebration.
Culturally, Lebanese lunch and dinner tables are always rich and full when receiving guests.
It is our way of honoring our guests and expressing our happiness to receive them in our homes. Our menus usually go far beyond the expected number of guests as we believe that no guest should leave our tables unfulfilled.
“Better more than less” is a secret slogan we all endorse.
We don’t worry a bit about the excess that could be left untouched. These are food we store for the following days.
I was called “eccentric” once by a European guest although my lunch invitation back then was half of what we Lebanese usually present on our tables. 🙂 So I thought I should mention here our culture stance in regards to our invitations.
We deem that nothing is more valuable than Food that sustains our existence while granting us joy and bonding us with family and friends.
Being generous in serving Food is for us the best mean to honoring our guests.
When it comes to special celebrations, like Christmas, Eid and Easter, we certainly make them count. After all, these ones in particular happen once a year!
