Garlic Buttered, Lemon Juicy Salmon
with A Subtle Basil Fragrance
We all go through these moments in which we need to prepare a meal quickly. And we do have those other moments when a friend extends his/her visit to dinner time, and we get at loss in front of our fridge not sure what to do. This Salmon dish is perfect for such “moments” in which we need to make something good and quick.
If you have a couple of Salmon Fillets in your fridge, you are saved, because all ingredients here are regulars in our kitchen!
In any case, you will love this recipe for being easy, quick, healthy and delicious. The dish comes out juicy enough, and fragrant enough, hence not needing any table dressing. A good salad would do great to side it.

Garlic Buttered Salmon
- 2 Fillets Fresh Salmon
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 cloves Garlic pounded
- 2 tbsps Fresh Lemon juice
To Season the Salmons
- 1/4 tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 leafs Basil chopped finely
- 2 pinches Salt
To Side The Salmon Fillets
- 2 wedges Lemon
To season the Salmon Fillets:
In a small bowl, mix the salt and spices with the basil. Season the salmon fillets by rubbing them with this mixture. Set aside.
Over medium heat, melt the butter, and saute the garlic to fragrant. (about 30 seconds)
Place the fillets on the butter and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes. Turn them gently, and cook for another 5 minutes, or until they turn nicely golden.
Transfer the fillets on individual plates. Drizzle on each one tsp of lemon juice, and an equal amount of the remaining garlic-butter liquid.
Serve with a salad, and a lemon wedge on the side.
