Healthy Mango Coconut Truffles


Envision the succulent taste and texture in your mouth of mango fruits with coconut, milk, and honey! Imagine this delicious sweet snack at a grasp of your fingers when studying, reading a good book, or playing.

All because you can make them yourself at home, and in as much quantity as you wish. It is easy to make, and it is a good pastry idea for birthdays or for when your friends over.

Both the Mango and the Coconut are very healthy fruits. Take a look!



Mango is nicknamed The King of Fruits because of its many health benefits 🙂







This easy recipe is simply made from 3 ingredients. The fresh mango is blended with little honey into a smooth puree. We then cook the puree on low heat for 15 minutes. After that, we stir in shredded coconut and powder milk, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

The puree becomes a paste. We set it aside to cool for 20 minutes so we can roll them in small balls. We then coat them with shredded coconut. It is as simple as that!

  • 1 Mango (large) Washed and peeled
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsps Powder Milk
  • 200 gr Shredded Coconut


  • Food Processor


Making the Mango Puree

  1. Cut the mango in chunks. Place them in the food processor. Add the honey, and blend it all well into a smooth puree.

    Transfer it into a saucepan. 

    Over Low Heat, stir the mango, then leave it to simmer for 15 minutes. Stir from time to time.

    Meanwhile, prepare the coconut:

Preparing the Coconut

  1. Wash the shredded coconut, and soak them in water for 5 minutes. 

    Remove on a sieve, and leave for 2 minutes for all excess of water to drain out. 

    Scoop 4 tablespoons of coconut in a bowl. Use your fingers to gently toss them a little. 

    Set aside. We will use this later to coat the truffles.

Turning the Mango Puree into a Paste

  1. Add to the Mango Puree (past the 15 minutes) the remaining coconut and the powder milk. Stir well, and leave it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes only.

    Transfer the Paste into a large plate, and set aside to cool for 20 minutes. 

Rolling the Truffles

  1. Scoop the paste, and roll it into a small ball. Drop it on the coconut bowl, and roll it gently to be coated on all sides. Set it on a serving plate.

    Repeat until all the paste is done, and you have all the Mango Truffles nicely on your serving plate.
